Hypointe Travel Service was founded in 1996 as a home-based business. Bob Riggs, the founder, is an experienced traveler, in particular, from his days in corporate America. He has always loved to travel and started at an early age when he would accompany his parents on car trips to the Western United States.

Between his Junior and Senior year in college, Bob was selected for a European Study Project that enabled him to travel to several countries including: Denmark, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Sweden and Finland.

As a business traveler, Bob once went on an "around the world" trip. Leaving from Minneapolis, he first went to London, then on to Wales, Scotland and Ireland. From there he went to Paris for a leisurely break!!! Then on to Hong Kong. The trip concluded with a flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco, and then back to Minneapolis.

At that time, he worked for a company that was importing products from the Far East and exporting to Europe. Each year, he went to Europe in the Spring and the Far East in the fall. On one trip to Hong Kong, he met his future wife! They were both on an Air Cargo familiarization tour that took them to Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, Korea. Bob also been to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China and Taiwan in Asia.

After college, Bob did not know if he would be able to get back to Europe until he retired! Through business opportunities, however, he has made many trips, and now is able to travel for leisure!

One of his best trips was a trip to Norway and Sweden. The scenery in Norway is just spectacular, and, in his opinion, surpasses that of Austria and Alaska. He and his wife also enjoy trips to Germany and Austria.

Most recently, they traveled to the Canary Islands for a nice winter vacation!
